Dear well-wishers and supporters of the Gyan Putra Project.

                                                                                                                        Jadan,26/11/2025
First of all we would like to thank all those ofyou, who have been and still are
supporting the Gyan Putra Project over the last so many years in Jadan, Rajasthan.
Either through donations, your selfless work or by other means of assisting: you do
keep this project blossoming. Your contribution does make a difference in many of
these children's live and their future.
With this letter, we wish to update you about technical and organisation changes over
the last 3 years:
Due to the fast changing circumstances within the Indian educational system,
competition and within society as weil as the economic challenges, the members of
the institutional board decided to outsource the school and the college to a
professional management. This enables the new educational board to run the school
in a more efficient and professional way, with the aim to improve the educational
system, in order to benefit the students and their excellency in their studies.
Within the Gyan Putra Project, the organisation changes are minimal. In the academic
year 2025/26 we do have 129 Gyan Putra students, out ofwhich 51 are girls and 78
boys.
At present, our main challenge is to reach out to society and informing them about the
Gyan Putra Project and the benefits children can harvest ifthey apply. As our
institution is located in a rather back ward area with low income pattems and more
traditional society norms, it is a challenge to convince parents to send their children,
special girls, to school and to promote further studies. There are a lot ofboundaries,
related to social and traditional views, that makes it difficult to reach out for those in
need.
All selected Gyan Putra students are provided with free education in our school. This
means: they are exempted from the school fees as well as from bus fees, wherever
applicable. The drop out rate from school for Gyan Putras is much lower than of other
students.
Further we do have a strong Gyan Putra percentage of students in 10\ 11 and 12
class. That may indicate, that students are aware of the opportunity they are given, to
pursue higher studies in order to accelerate in their education and personal life
prospectus.
Over the last 4 years we have put considerable effort to be up to the demanding task
admitting children for the Gyan Putra Project in a fair and equitable selection process.
This selection process is based on following criteria: being orphan or a handicapped
student, issues due to poor family income and numb􀂆r of siblings in family.
Additional' priority is given to girls, documented health issues of parents and/ or cast
related matters. In case of uncertainty, students will be called for a personal interview
(approx 75% ofthe students), new applications and necessary documents being
verified, and family background scrutinised. Further, whenever necessary, a personal
visit to the child's horile will be conducted to gain a complete impression of the
families situation and the circumstances. To go through this process enables us to
come to a proper conclusion in selecting those children who are eligible and deserve
your support.
Some of the students, especially girls, have shown in the past years excellent results
in their studies, not only on district but also on national level. There is immense
competition and considering the number of students only in Rajasthan that runs into
the tens of millions who compete every year in their exams, this achievement is
something we all can be proud of.
In future, our· aim is to bring more awareness to the poor Strata of society in the
nearby villages of our institution. The focus is to encourage families in need to enrol
their children - foremost girls - and to join the Gyan Putra family of Shri Vishwa
Deep Gurukul.
